The agricultural resources of Malacca provide and educational discovery of the land’s bounty.

 

o        D-Paradise Tropical Fruit World & Aboriginal Native Village

Sprawled over 168 acres of land, this agro-attraction located at Lubuk China features numerous species of tropical fruits, a vineyard, exotic wildlife and an aboriginal village. A 9km-long passion fruit canopy walkway is among the highlight here.

o        Malacca Tropical Fruit Farm

The farm is located in Sungai Udang on 70 hectares of land. Visitors can choose and purchase from hundreds of species of tropical fruits such as ciku, cempedak, belimbing, longan, kedondong, pandan coconuts, as well as vegetables, flowers, plants and herbs. The farm is also home to animals such as Bali cows, ostriches, camels, deer and rabbits. Facilities available include a café, camp site as well as conference rooms, hostels and chalets.

o        B-B Town

Did you know a bee has to visit 2 million flowers to produce 2.2 kg of honey? Learn more about bees as well as hornets and their habitat at the museum. Among its collection are informative exhibits plus several specimens of bee hives and hornet nests. Visitor can purchase honey and its by-products from the museum.

o        Seri Tanjung Homestay

Located at Masjid Tanah, 24km away from city, is the village of Seri Tanjung – the winner of the nationwide ‘Most Beautiful Village’ competition. Villagers are involved in agricultural activities, poultry farming and animal husbandry. Visitors can observe or participate in activities such as milking cows and paddy-planting. Cultural pastimes organized for tourists include gasing (top spinning), congkak (traditional boardgame) and silat (the Malay art of self defence).
