The Curve at Mutiara Damansara offers the first open-air pedestrian street mall in Malaysia . This fairly new shopping mall also provides a 3-floor indoor shopping area with a modest 660 000 square feet of retail space which definitely proves no contest to its much larger neighbour, 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Even so, The Curve has something that many shopping malls lack in Malaysia , a foreign feel on local soil. This is one of the reasons why it has become one of Klang Valley 's more popular shopping and entertainment destinations to date.

The pedestrian street mall section of The Curve has been aptly named ‘The Street' and it is here that you will be able to sample the many different cuisines that Malaysia has to offer. Weekends at the pedestrian street mall are always a delight as the Weekend Flea Market takes place every Saturday and Sunday. Look out for the live quartet in front of Marche Movenpick Restaurant. These talented musicians will entertain you with music from all over the world such as the flamenco, salsa, jazz and even popular ballads. This al fresco area of The Curve exudes an atmosphere that is unlike any other Malaysian shopping mall. The fashion mall is housed at the indoor section of The Curve and it has been given the name ‘The Walk'. Be prepared to do just that, walk, as there are many fashion brands at your fingertips. Esprit, G2000, Nike, Key Ng, British India , Giordano and U2 are among some of the notable brands that you can find at The Walk. Despite its reputation of being a fashion mall, The Walk also has a large following of bookworms as MPH and Borders are nicely placed at two different corners of the mall. Unfortunately, with the presence of the infamous 1 Utama Shopping Centre nearby, many retail outlets prefer the high traffic flow at 1 Utama which leaves The Curve struggling to reach its full capacity.

The Curve also offers a variety of entertainment outlets. Be your own Britney Spears in the confines of a private room or if you're slightly more talented and don't crack under pressure, a public bar is available. A wide variety of songs in many different languages dating back to the 60's are available at the click of a button. Private rooms equipped with the latest audio visual equipment are available and the largest one of these rooms can hold up to 40 people. If singing isn't your forte and you'd rather be listening to music, try Laundry Bar, a famous hotspot for the young and the restless. It has become one of the main attractions at The Curve where people go to see and be seen. They have an endless list of cocktails to satiate your craving for a refreshing drink and dinner is served until 10pm. Laundry Bar's regular clientele ranges from the working class to the beautiful ‘boys and girls' that make up the future generation. This is because there is no need for I.D's to be whipped out unless when one intends to purchase alcoholic drinks.
