My Home Bistro might not be a familiar name but it has a familiar location. It became a landmark in Desa Sri Hartamas under its previous name of Cristro's. Recently, it has received a much needed and refreshing face lift and a name change to go with it. Armed with a brand new environment and a new name, My Home Bistro is on a mission to make you feel right at home.

Out with the old and in with the new. My Home Bistro intends to start 2007 with a more modern and chic look. The indoor area is pleasantly decorated with warm lights and a touch of iron cast grills. Initially it might seem a bit medieval but after awhile it rubs off and you'll realize that it actually enhances the chic atmosphere.

Unfortunately, in Malaysian culture, the general population prefers an outdoor experience and My Home Bistro is well aware of that. The al fresco area is large and can accommodate hundreds of people. In case of rain, they are readily prepared with their retracting canopy but on a clear day, it is cool and breezy.

One of the main attractions of My Home Bistro is its big screen TV which attracts sports fans of many different kinds. The most popular sport is of course football and scores of fans can be seen on match day faithfully supporting their respective teams at My Home Bistro. The environment is one that is conducive for watching sports because of the presence of fellow fans all around. If it's not watching sports but rather playing sports that interests you, My Home Bistro also has foosball and pool tables on the 1st floor. Might not be a sport of the Olympic variety but it's a good way to pass the time with friends.

My Home Bistro also offers other conveniences such as alcohol and a wide variety of snacks to go with your evening. Prices are relatively cheap considering its location within an affluent entertainment area. Happy hour begins from 11.30am till 9pm and beer is priced at RM26 nett per jug. After happy hour, a jug of beer would cost RM38++ with promotions for purchases of 2 or 3 jugs.

All in all, My Home Bistro is a charming place to just sit back and relax with a mug of beer and the company of friends. If you are a sports fan, this is one place you can visit to mingle with sports fans alike. Drinks are cheap and snacks are abundant. There's nothing like a place where you can feel the cool breeze, put your feet up, have a beer in hand while munching on some French fries.
